Gala Bingo Player Scoops High Five
Friday, October 10th, 2008Once again we are given living proof that the Luck of the Scottish is far better than the luck of the Irish. This comes after A Bo’ness, Falkirk woman was made £177,369.90 richer when she scooped the Gala Bingo High Five prize. But the luck didn’t end there, she shared her luck with everyone in the bingo hall as the Gala High five shares half the prize money with the big winner and the other half with the rest of the players in the bingo club. So each player present that night went home with a cheque for ₤794.34.
The winner has requested that her name be withheld, so we can’t share that with you, but she has also made I clear she will be sharing her bingo winnings equally with her daughter and two friends, giving them all an equal amount of almost ₤45 000 each. She says that they have always spilt their winnings and this is no different.
The lucky lady spoke of how astonished she was with her win. She said that she turned green when her lucky number came up, her friends actually realised she had won before she did. She said they all sat there screaming and giggling. Apparently they weren’t going to bingo that night, but because there was a football game on television and they knew their husbands would be immersed in it, they decided to go out. She has already booked a holiday, still thinks she is dreaming and has been partying every night.
