Claire Evans a thirty eight year old mother of two from Maesteg, made her day when she called bingo in fourty four numbers and won prize money in excess of ₤30,000, after which she was in “complete and utter shock”. She plays with a friend at the Castle bingo club in Bridgend, and still cant quite believe how much money she won.
This mother of two works as a support worker for adults with learning difficulties and is going to be sharing her winnings with the friend she plays bingo together with. The have an agreement to share whatever bingo prize money they win. Claire has been playing for the past year at Castle bingo and plays once a week, she was absolutely over the moon with her big win and will be spending some of the money on a new motorbike that her husband has had his eye on and the balance will be going very wisely into a savings account.
Apparently Castle bingo is hosting a party with free food and bubby for all members present to celebrate Claire’s big win. It is the first I hear of a bingo club doing this for its members and I think it is a wonderful idea. After all winners should get to celebrate and it is nice to do it with the people who were present to see her get the prize.
