A Grimsby woman finally hit the bingo jackpot after having played the game for fifteen years. The thirty seven year old winner, won the National Bingo prize of ₤16,527, the regional prize of ₤1,044 and the house prize of course; ₤100, making her ₤17,671 richer.
The National prize that evening was for ₤33,055 which she shared with another winner in Harlow, who also called full house in forty-four calls. Forty four calls appears to be a common winning number of calls recently, with one winner recently taking home more than ₤38,000 in forty-four calls.
The woman, who was playing on her own at the Gala Bingo Club in Pasture Street, Grimsby, where she plays about twice a month, says she has been playing bingo for fifteen years, and the win still came as a huge shock to her; her husband didn’t want to believe her.
She works as a sales rep and has decided to use some of the money to buy a new car and take a fun in the sun holiday in the Caribbean. I would say that judging by the weather in the UK recently; a sunny holiday is the best possible thing any bingo winner can invest their prize money in.
