A bingo player from Acomb, York claims that her local Clifton Bingo Club has not paid her £1000 that she rightfully won in a nationwide tele-link game, she says that she purchased two bingo tickets for the game and when she won on one of her boards, she pressed the claim button and shouted for the game to stop, but the game carried on and two calls later, another player called bingo and won the prize.
She is adamant that her game board had not been properly activated and is prepared to take her dispute to the Gambling Commission, she is very serious about her claim and feels that she has been very badly treated. She has proof that she bought two tickets as a friend accompanied her when she purchased them. It seems that they also heard the woman calling the game ask “is that a claim in York?
She is a regular player at the Clifton Bingo Club and says they made her feel as though she was trying to scam them and this is not the case, she just believes that she should get what is rightfully hers. It seems that when she paid for her tickets she was not given a receipt, perhaps this is normal practice, but I believe that if someone pays for something they should at least be given a receipt.
