For some time now the Fleetwood Pier has been closed, with the only business still open being an amusement arcade. This is due to the fact that a recent business venture failed to take off the ground. Senior citizen, Elizabeth Mitchell a former employee on the pier has suggested that a bingo club should be opened and she says that bingo has always been a big crowd puller in that area.

Elizabeth feels that providing bingo on the pier would fit in well with the surroundings and the traditional entertainment provided by bingo might just see the failing leisure area revived. It has already had a nightclub, fish and chip bar pizza restaurant, and pub that failed to bring in the crowds.

Bingo was once seen as entertainment for the elderly only, but today people of all ages enjoy a game of bingo, it is a great opportunity to socialize as well as have a chance to win big cash jackpots.

It is not only Elizabeth who has suggested a bingo hall to keep the pier afloat; there have been a great many suggestions from other residents for the popular pastime to be provided.
