Bingo Jobs Jackpot for UK Club

Even though land based bingo clubs throughout the UK seem to be suffering the same plight, one Dovercourt businessman has not give up hope on the UK’s favorite game. He has taken his struggling nightclub and is refurbishing it as well as adding a bingo club that will boost much needed trade to the town centre which is said to be under utilized. People are not making use of this facility and are looking further afield for their entertainment needs.

The manager of the Basement Nightclub, Steve Brennan says that the refurbishment of the club into a bingo hall will create twenty new jobs, as well as persuade people looking for entertainment to stay in the town centre. Once the refurbishment is completed they are going to be employing local people as bar staff, cashiers and night staff.

This nightclub is the only one in Dovercourt and it was recently bought by the Geisha Hotel and Nightclub. The plans include a 200 seater bingo club. Mr. Brennan said that the new facility will boost trade and be a positive thing for the town. Presently people are going to Clacton and Colchester to spend their money, and it will be a welcome change to have them spend their money in their own town. The club will be closed for the refurbishment from the 2nd November and it is envisioned that it will be opened again on the 14th November 2008, hopefully transformed and providing bingo.
