Bingo Fundraiser For Isle of Man College
The Isle of Man College, Health and Social Care students form non-profit making organizations as a part of their Junior Achievement programme, and in this respect the students at the college have formed a company that they have named “Mankind”. The intention of “Mankind” is to raise funds to support local charities. To this end they have organized a fundraising bingo afternoon on the 16th June. The bingo fundraiser will be held at the college and promises to be a “full house’ in more ways than one.
The charity of their choice is the Age Concern Isle of Man and Chief Executive Officer of the charity, Penny Creighton says that is it wonderful to see young people caring for the aged in such a way, and they are deeply grateful to the students and their lecturers for thinking about them and setting up the bingo afternoon.
At this point in time, forty eight Age Concern Visitors will partake in the fun filled bingo fundraising afternoon, they will be enjoying a lunch prepared by the students prior to the battle of bingo, this promises to be a one of a kind function and not only does it raise awareness of the aged to the young, it also raises an awareness of the joys of playing bingo.
